Local elections
"166 municipalities elect their mayors": 166 of Slovenia's 212 municipalities elected mayors in the first round of local elections on Sunday. The rest will hold a run-off on 4 December. Turnout reached nearly 45.6%. (front page, pages 2-4)

Football World Cup
"Qatar opens, first challenges ahead for Slovenian": The Football World Cup in Qatar opened with a match between the hosts and Ecuador. Tomorrow, the first challenge is ahead for Slovenian referee Stanko Vinčić who will be refereeing a match between Argentina and Saudi Arabia. (front page, pages 14 and 15)

COP27
"Hope and disappointment at COP27": Only limited headway was made at the COP27 conference in Egypt, with satisfaction over a "historic" fund for countries most affected by climate change being spoiled by warnings that the conference failed to make additional greenhouse gas emissions obligations. Local elections
"Voters turn Janković into real estate": Zoran Janković won his sixth term as Ljubljana mayor. However, this term will be harder for him than those before because he will need to form a city council coalition with the SD. (front page, pages 2, 3 and 14)

COP27
"Success and failure in Egypt": The COP27 conference ended in an agreement for a fund to help countries most affected by climate change, but there was no headway as regards greenhouse gas emissions. (front page, 8)

Portorož Business Conference

Krka Q3 results
