Weather: Snow at low altitudes, windy

Ljubljana, 21 November - It will rain and snow in Slovenia on Tuesday, with more than 25 centimetres of snow expected to fall in the regions of Notranjska and Kočevsko (south) and at higher altitudes in the northwest - in parts of Gorenjska and Primorska. It will be windy, especially in the Primorska region.

An extremely strong bora wind will sweep through Primorska throughout the day, reaching the speeds of 120 km/h. A north-easterly wind will blow in the rest of the country.

Morning lows will range from -1 to 3 degrees Celsius, except in Primorska, where the mercury will rise to 5-9 degrees. Daytime highs are forecast at 1 to 6 degrees, up to 11 in Primorska.

The Environment Agency has warned of high tide flooding some low-lying areas on the coast between 6am and 11am.

The wind will abate during the night, and it will stop raining or snowing on Wednesday, with the skies clearing up, starting in the west.

Except for some fog or low clouds in low-lying areas, Thursday should be mostly sunny.
