Anželj becomes mayor of Murska Sobota

Murska Sobota, 4 December - The eastern-most city municipality of Murska Sobota got a new mayor on Sunday as Damjan Anželj won the local election run-off against Andrej Mešič. With virtually all the votes counted, Anželj, endorsed by the Social Democrats, won 64.76% of the vote, as 41.56% turned out to cast their ballots.
