New Year's Day traditionally celebrated as second Christmas

Ljubljana, 1 January - In Slovenian cultural heritage, New Year's Day is one of three Christmases, along with Christmas Day and Epiphany on 6 January. Even in the early 20th century people made offerings to water, told fortune and performed magic on the first day of the year.
