Herman Gvardjančič says painting most sensual art alongside sculpture
Ljubljana, 7 February - Painter Herman Gvardjančič, the most important representative of abstract expressionist art in Slovenia, will receive the Prešeren Prize for lifetime achievements on the eve of Culture Day. Although a dark atmosphere pervades in his art, it has a "cathartic, liberating and inspiring effect", the jury said when announcing the winner.
