MPs back introduction of "hate crime" concept in penal code

Ljubljana, 11 January - The parliamentary Justice Committee has endorsed changes to the penal code that introduce the concept of hate crime into Slovenian law. Any crime prompted by the victim's personal circumstances will be under this arrangement punished more severely, Justice Minister Dominika Švarc Pipan explained to committee members on Wednesday.
