Slovenia opens consulate in Naples

Ljubljana, 14 January - Slovenia has opened a consulate in Naples, which will be headed by Jacopo Fronzoni, the Foreign Ministry announced on Twitter on Saturday.

The work of the consulate, which was opened on Friday, will help further develop the economic, cultural and scientific relations between Slovenia and Italy, the ministry said.

The consulate in the south of Italy adds to Slovenia's network of diplomatic and consular missions in the country, which include the embassy in Rome and consulates general in Trieste and Milan, it added.

Slovenia also has consulates in Bolzano and Florence, the ministry said, adding that the government decision was alkso announced on 14 December to open a Slovenian consulate in Bari and appoint Ferdinando Parente the honorary consul.
