The exhibition is part of the joint project between Slovenia and China titled United in Creativity, whose aim is to celebrate the friendship between Slovenia and China, strengthen ties between Ljubljana and its twin city Chengdu, while cultivating the idea that the synergy of cultures and learning more about them enriches and brings people closer together, reads a press release from the Kresija Gallery and the Town Hall.

Illustrations by Slovenian pupils from the Trnovo Primary School and their Chinese counterparts from the Yandaojie Primary School in Chengdu will be on display, focusing on the exciting world of Chinese myths, legends, holidays, customs, and culinary arts.

Also part of the exhibition are photographs from the 2022 Chengdu, City With Views series. Visitors will be able to admire snippets of Chengdu, the capital city of the Sichuan province, which is home to giant pandas. It is also known as a gastronomy centre and one of China's most important economic, financial, trade, and cultural hubs.

The exhibition is held under the auspices of the Confucius Institute in Ljubljana, the Trnovo Primary School, the Municipality of Ljubljana, and the Chinese Embassy in Ljubljana.
