Call made for special ombudsman for elderly, officials reserved

Ljubljana, 1 February - The Silver Thread, an association promoting a dignified old age, reiterated on Wednesday its call for the creation of an ombudsman for the rights of the elderly or a deputy ombudsman in charge of the elderly. It said human right violations were persisting, in particular in healthcare. The Human Rights Ombudsman in turn warned against fragmentation.
