Fiscal Council warns against measures excessively impacting fiscal position

Ljubljana, 6 February - Slovenia's fiscal position improved last year, mainly due to a reduction in Covid-19-related aid, but both the level of the deficit and its deepening compared to 2019 were among the highest in the EU, the Fiscal Council noted on Monday. It warned against measures that would cause a further and long-term deterioration of public finances.
