Slovenia Recorded Lively Foreign Trade in October

Slovenia recorded quite abundant foreign trade last October, the National Office of Statistics reported. The preliminary data show Slovenia's exports in October amounted to US$ 794.3 million, which is the best among this year's monthly results. Slovenia's imports, too, stood high in October, reaching US$ 863.8 million, the amount which was surpassed only in April. Trade deficit stood at US$ 69.5 million, which is by 10 percent up from October 1996. The export-import coverage went down by 0.9 to 92 percent from last year.
