For lack of suitable candidates, parish to abolish confirmation sponsors

Beltinci, 20 March - The Beltinci parish in the north-east of the country will no longer allow confirmation sponsors to be present during confirmation church service due to difficulties in choosing the right candidates. The Slovenian Bishops' Conference did not wish to comment on the matter, while the Murska Sobota Diocese is planning a similar move in the future.
