DELO

Farmer protest
"Minister says agreement is possible": Several thousand farmers with 1,500 tractors staged a protest like never before in Slovenia. The government is looking for solutions to their demands, but all cannot be met. Talks are to resume after the May Day holidays. (front page, 3)

Croatian euro adoption
"Adoption of euro went smoothly": Croatian central bank governor Boris Vujičić told the paper the transition from the kuna to the euro went smoothly. The hardest problem was the collection and safekeeping of kuna coins, which take up the volume of 26 Airbuses. (front page, 8)

Cycling
"Roglič wants to wear the pink jersey in Rome": Cycling star Primož Roglič says he is ready for Giro d'Italia, which is starting on 6 May. He did not want to speculate about competing against Remco Evenepoel, saying only that he wants to wear the winner's jersey at the end of the race in Rome. (front page, 15)

Farmer protest
"Hundreds of tractors flood streets of Ljubljana": After walking away from talks with the government, farmers took to the streets on Tuesday in what was the second protest in a month. They demand fewer environmental and administrative hurdles, and a special protected status.

Judges' pay
"Judges will not have to wait until 2027": After the government abandoned the idea of supplementing the judges' pay with a monthly bonus until a systemic solution is agreed, talks seem to be on the right track to address pay discrepancies. (front page, 3)
