Red alert for downpours, floods issued for north-east

Ljubljana, 16 May - The Environment Agency (ARSO) has issued a red alert, the highest warning level, for parts of north-eastern Slovenia as severe downpours in the coming hours could make rivers flood. Several rivers in the north-east and south-east have already swollen and could start flooding. A strong bora wind is meanwhile sweeping through Primorska in the west.
