Govt withdraws changes to institutes act
Ljubljana, 18 May - The government has decided to withdraw from legislative procedure the changes it drafted to the Institutes Act. These would have given the government the possibility to dismiss directors of public institutes without the approval of the institute's council and appoint an acting director, which was met with strong criticism by social partners.
