Foreign Minister Fajon starting visit to Vietnam and Indonesia

HANOI, Vietnam - Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon started a three-day visit to Vietnam, from where she will travel to Indonesia. The firsts visits of the kind after almost 20 years are mainly dedicated to boosting ties with Vietnam and Indonesia, though they come at a time when Slovenia is lobbying hard to become a member of the UN Security Council. Fajon is accompanied by a business delegation.

Bronze for Vedene in clubs at gymnastics champs

BAKU, Azerbaijan - Yekaterina Vedene has won bronze in the clubs event at the European Championships in Rhythmic Gymnastics, the first ever medal in rhythmic gymnastics for Slovenia at a European championship. The Russian-born gymnast, who has been competing for Slovenia since 2018, entered the finals with the sixth best score but then performed a flawless routine. She also won fourth place in the ribbon event.
