Upper chamber vetoes budget implementation law

Ljubljana, 31 May - The upper chamber of parliament imposed a suspensive veto on amendments to the 2023 and 2024 budget implementation act, questioning a reduction in funds set aside to aid businesses. The lower chamber will need to take a revote on the law but the ruling coalition has a sufficient majority to pass it.
