"Less work planned in state roads": The state Directorate for Infrastructure has virtually stopped publishing calls for bids for new projects, construction companies have come to realise. (front page, 3)

Tour of Slovenia
"Matej Mohorič the hero of Novo Mesto": Slovenian cyclist Matej Mohorič won the final stage of the Tour of Slovenia, while the general classification victory went to Italian Filippo Zana. (front page, 10)

"Visit for better relations": US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken arrived in Beijing after having postponed the visit in February due to the alleged spy balloon incident. The US is trying to prevent the competition with China from becoming a conflict. (front page, 5)


Health insurance
"Insurance companies building their own healthcare network": It is logical that the abolishment of top-up health insurance will lead to a greater demand for supplementary health insurance and insurance companies have been getting ready for this, also by taking over private healthcare providers. Vox Populi poll
"Meteoric rise of Tanja Fajon and the SocDems": Slovenia's success in becoming a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council in 2024 and 2025 benefited Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon and her party, the Social Democrats (SD), the most, shows the June Vox Populi poll. (front page-3)


"What will employment trends be like in Germany and other key export markets over the summer": The paper looks into employment trend forecasts in Germany, Austria, Italy, France, Poland and Switzerland. (front page-3)

Congestions in Ljubljana
"Lights out at 5pm for Janković": There are some 20 complete road closures in Ljubljana at the moment and another 100 partial closures, with construction works ending at 5pm. (front page, 4)


Borštnik theatre festival
"Ring to an actress, prizes to female directors": The 58th Borštnik Festival ended with an awards ceremony, honouring the actress Nataša Matjašec Roškar. The best play prize went to Closed Study, directed by Nina Rajić, the best director prize went to Mojca Madon and the best playwright prize went to Katarina Morano. (front page, 2, 12)

Pohorje hills
