Except for poultry, fewer livestock animals slaughtered in 2022

Ljubljana, 1 July - The number of slaughtered livestock animals dropped in 2022, while the opposite is true for poultry, the Statistics Office (SURS) said. Compared to the previous year, the number of cattle slaughtered decreased by 1%, pigs by 13%, sheep by 5% and goats by 8%, while the figure for poultry increased by 4%.
