METLIKA - Former presidents of Croatia and Slovenia, Jadranka Kosor and Borut Pahor, met on the Metlika-Jurovski Brod border crossing to mark the 10th anniversary of Croatia's EU membership. Addressing the event, Pahor said that Croatia's accession to the EU had been in the hands of the Slovenian nation, referring to the border arbitration referendum in 2010.

Docu brings to life extraordinary story of world-famous children's choir
TRBOVLJE - Hungry, Barefoot and Famous (Lačni, bosi in slavni, 2022), a documentary about a little-known children's choir from Trbovlje, once declared better than the legendary Vienna Boys' Choir, is being screened at the Kamerat festival of working class film this weekend. It shows the story of children who lived in utter poverty but became global stars for a while in the 1930s.
Summer language courses draw descendants of Slovenian emigrants
