Minister calls for better cooperation among diaspora members
VIPAVA/LJUBLJANA - The traditional annual meeting of Slovenians living abroad is wrapping up in Ljubljana. Addressing the main event in Vipava on Saturday, Minister for Slovenians Abroad Matej ArĨon said the aim was to strengthen ties between umbrella organisations of the Slovenian diaspora.
Survey shows share of women in energy sector declining
LJUBLJANA - The number of women employees or executives in energy companies in Slovenia fell in the past five years and is now below the average of the region Central and Eastern Europe, indicates a Boston Consulting Group survey. Women's representation in the country's energy sector dropped from 29% to 24%.
Garnbret makes history with 40th World Cup win
MONTREUX, Switzerland - Olympic gold medallist climber Janja Garnbret has made sporting history by winning her 40th World Cup event, a feat no other man or woman has achieved before. Garnbret dominated the lead event in Villars in Switzerland on Saturday as the only competitor to reach the top in the semi-final and the final, to achieve her 25th lead win and 40th World Cup victory.
