Loans
"Euribor is growing, so is the price of borrowing": The prices of borrowing in the Euro zone have reached the highest level in 14 years, as the Euribor interest rate reached 4%. Interest rates are expected to grow even more in the future. (front page, 8)

Basketball
"Dončić tops list of aces for Worlds": The basketball coach of team Slovenia, Aleksander Sekulić, presented the roster for the upcoming World Championships, with the NBA star Luka Dončić topping his list of aces. (front page, 16)

Tennis
"Wimbledon rain threat to Kaja's premiere": On the second day of the Wimbledon tennis championship Slovenia's Kaja Juvan is to face Margarita Betova of Russia, but rain is forecast. (front page, 14)

Frankfurt Book Fair
"Flag bearers of Slovenian literature": At the Frankfurt Book Fair, where Slovenia is the guest of honour this year, only recent translations and foreign-language books about the guest are presented at the guest-of-honour stall. Other literature is presented at stalls of individual publishers. But the only real way to draw attention to oneself is through events, Miha Kovač, the curator of Slovenia's presentation, told the paper. (front page, 19)

Cost of living
"Action plan to combat energy poverty": The government has so far spent EUR 529 million to address energy poverty. The paper looks into what will and what should come next. (front page, 2)

Secondary school enrolment
"Most places in secondary schools already filled": After two rounds of application procedures, most spots in secondary schools have been filled. The majority of future secondary school students will be enrolling in vocational schools, slightly fewer in gimnazija high schools. The places that remain, will be available until the end of August. Electric mobility
"Electric car for subsidies, not because it's good": The paper looks at the advantages enjoyed by those who get to drive electric company cars. (front page-3)

Pensions
"Pension reform is coming": The Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities will present the pension reform in the coming days. Expectedly, years of service will remain at 40, while pensionable age will increase from 65 to 67. (front page, 3)

Maribor

"Locomotive rotting away": The 120-year-old locomotive in front of Maribor's central rail station is the only of its kind preserved in Slovenia, yet it is rotting away with rust. The railways operator wants to move it to a closed, safer space, while the Cultural Heritage Protection Office wants it replaced with another historical, renovated locomotive. (front page, 13)
