Committee okays changes to party financing, SDS abstains

Ljubljana, 4 July - The Home Policy Committee okayed on Tuesday amendments to the Political Parties Act which include a revised system of political party funding. Deputies of the Democrats (SDS) abstained, and the opposition proposal that parties could also get funds from sole proprietors and legal entities not owned by the state was voted down.
