Net migration in 2022 positive

LJUBLJANA - Last year, 35,900 Slovenian and foreign citizens immigrated to Slovenia, while slightly over 20,900 people emigrated. Standing out number-wise among newly arrived residents were Ukrainian citizens, with the number of arriving Ukrainians exceeding the number of those who left by nearly 6,100, Statistics Office data shows. Compared to 2021, the number of arrivals increased by 50%, while the number of those to leave fell by 1%.

GKN Driveline in the red last year as sales drop

ZREČE - GKN Driveline, a Zreče-based car industry supplier owned by the British group of the same name, recorded almost EUR 108 million in sales revenue last year, down 4.5% compared to the year before. The company posted a loss of almost EUR 2.2 million due to challenging working conditions. Companies from the group saw an almost 7% drop in sales. In the EU the biggest drops were recorded in Italy, Germany and Poland. Outside the EU, Malaysia and Mexico affected the most.
