Storm warning issued for this afternoon
Ljubljana, 6 August - The Environment Agency has issued an orange warning for the entire country due to the risk of severe storms that are expected to bring significant rainfall.
Starting in the northwest, the storm system will travel eastwards across the entire country.
Downbursts and strong wind are forecast, with hail possible in the western Primorska region.
The rain is expected to stop in the evening. The forecast for the next few days is for sun and warmer weather.
With large parts of Slovenia flooded due to several days of heavy rain, the fresh rain has the potential to make things worse in the worst affected areas in the north of the country.
