Banks more than double profit in H1

Ljubljana, 17 August - Banks in Slovenia generated EUR 533 million in profit before tax in the first half of 2023, which was 151% more than in the same period last year, the central bank said on Thursday. Net profit reached EUR 467 million, up 145% year-on-year. Cash deposits grew by 1%, while loans went up by only a fraction.
