Storm hits western Slovenia, causes landslides

Tolmin, 18 August - A storm triggered landslides in the area of Tolmin (NW) Thursday night. Among other things a torrential stream spilled across the village of Gabrje and a tourist bus was trapped in the Tolminka Valley for a while. Data from the Predel weather station show that precipitation exceeded 31 litres per square metre in just half an hour.
