Vipava Valley switching from corn to sunflowers
Vipava, 20 August - Some farmers in the drought-prone Vipava Valley in western Slovenia are growing sunflowers instead of corn in a bid to cultivate more drought-tolerant crops. All of the sunflower seeds they harvest are exported to Italy.
