The festival will bring "an abundance of concerts of the best world music and jazz groups from around the world", the organisers said. All 15 events will be admission free.

Slovenian singer Zoran Predin and the gypsy swing band Ĺ ukar will open the festival.

Other performers include the Macedonian dark-folk group Perija, the band Tisdass from Niger and the Ratko Divjak quartet, named after one of the best known drummers from the former Yugoslavia.

The Austrian-Slovenian band Los Hostes, who describe their style of music as a fusion of yodel punk, Irish funk, Balkan groove and Alpine rage, will also be playing, as will Amaro Duho, a Hungarian group known for its gypsy music.

As part of the accompanying programme salsa, bachata and tango evenings will be held.

During the festival Ljubljana will host a symposium titled Sound and Music in the Lived Experience of Babies, Toddlers, and Vulnerable Groups as part of an international project B-AIR.
