Modular bridge allows one-way traffic in busy area near the capital
Domžale, 25 August - After early-August floods destroyed a bridge over the Kamniška Bistrica near the town of Domžale, north-east of Ljubljana, one of the two planned pre-fabricated bridges has been built to allow one-way traffic in the eastward direction.
The road in question is a busy state road leading to the industrial hub of Trzin, among other places.
One-way traffic in the direction of the village of Želodnik and a motorway slip road is due to resume on Friday, the Infrastructure Directorate, an authority in charge of the post-floods repair of state roads, told the STA.
Traffic in the opposite direction, to Trzin, will continue to be rerouted until another prefabricated bridge is in place.
