GDP statistics
"SURS denies govt influence on calculations": Tomaž Smrekar, director-general of the Slovenian Statistics Office, is not planning to resign over the substantial downward correction in the GDP growth estimate for 2022. "Everything will be different around Ljubljana's new station": The Ljubljana municipality has asked the Ministry of the Environment, Climate and Energy whether it needs an environmental permit to develop infrastructure around the future passenger centre. "Lower prices at retailers at expense of suppliers": Data from annual reports of retail store chains reveal that their suppliers were forced to give up part of their margins; purchasing prices of goods rose at a substantially slower rate than food inflation. (front page, page 6)
