MEP welcomes EU Parliament committee's okaying media legislation

Brussels, 7 September - The European Parliament's Committee on Culture and Education approved on Thursday an amended version of the European Media Freedom Act, obligating member states to ensure media plurality and protect media independence. Slovenian MEP Irena Joveva said that the legislation would prevent harmful practices.
