Trieste Gulf hit by worst bottom marine heatwave on record

Piran, 14 September - Marine scientists from the Slovenian coast have sounded the alarm over what are record-high temperatures measured at the bottom of the Gulf of Trieste. The phenomenon is known as a bottom marine heatwave and can have major repercussions for the ecosystem.
