MPs vote down bill to limit terms of mayors

Ljubljana, 22 September - The National Assembly rejected on Friday the changes to the Local Elections Act that would limit mayorship to two consecutive terms with 69 votes against. Most deputy groups, except the coalition Left, were opposed to the changes, filed to parliament by the non-parliamentary Pirate Party and the Left.
