Police force celebrates gender equality

Ljubljana, 25 September - The Interior Ministry finished a project on the role of women in the police on Monday with a celebration, marking 50 years since the police started systematically hiring women. However, the first policewoman was hired as early as 1936 to dealt mostly with social issues, said Deputy Police Commissioner Robert Ferenc.
