Tourism
"Biggest decline of guests recorded in camps": Slovenia welcomed one million tourists in August, down by some 5% year-on-year. Overnight stays also dropped by some 5%. Camps recorded the biggest decrease among accommodation facilities - the number of guests was almost 20% down. (front page, page 4)
Heating season
"Chimney sweep services helpless": Nearly 60% of heating devices are not checked in Slovenia, which has environmental implications. Since the chimney sweep services are helpless, the authorities are preparing legislative changes, but it is mainly up to individuals to make sure their devices are up to date. (front page, page 5)
Human rights campaign
"Justice is everybody's business": Representatives of a human rights and environmental campaign touring European cities have arrived in Slovenia. The campaign Justice Is Everybody's Business, which calls on the EU to hold businesses accountable, draws attention to its cause with an inflatable statue of Lady Justice. (front page, page 5)

"Where are the promised public rental flats": The Housing Fund will provide 548 flats this year and next year, but only 40 will be located in Ljubljana. The paper wonders how the relevant ministry will mitigate housing issues in the capital. (front page, page 2)
Kindergarten prices
"Prices going up in Ljubljana kindergartens": The Ljubljana City Council endorsed the proposal to raise kindergarten prices in the capital yesterday. Parents will now have to pay some 15% more on average. (front page, page 8)

"FURS receiving data on accounts abroad": The tax authority will soon receive data on accounts which Slovenian individuals and legal entities opened abroad last year. In 2022, more than 1,000 irregularities were detected. (front page, page 4)
