Amount of waste exceeds 11 million tonnes in 2022

Ljubljana, 26 September - A total of 11.66 million tonnes of waste was generated in Slovenia in 2022, the first time the amount of waste exceeded 11 million tonnes, which the Statistics Office said on Tuesday was mostly due to more construction waste. Compared to 2021, this is a 24% rise, while the country generated by 4% less municipal waste.
