EU Commission sees improvement on Austrian-Slovenian border

Brussels, 26 September - Border control consultations launched by the European Commission in May have led to an improvement on the Austrian-Slovenian border, as the number of illegal crossings has dropped, the Commission's spokeswoman Anitta Hipper said on Tuesday as she commented on Germany's and Poland's plan to introduce controls on the bloc's internal borders.
