Commission wants new disposal sites for nuclear waste in Krško by 2028

Krško, 2 October - The Slovenian-Croatian commission overseeing the intergovernmental agreement on the Krško Nuclear Plant (NEK) tasked the relevant authorities in both countries to build radioactive waste disposal sites as soon as possible. It expects repositories for low- and intermediate-level radioactive waste no later than in early 2028.
