August flood damage estimated at EUR 9.9 billion

Ljubljana, 4 October - The government's total estimate of direct damage from the August flooding and its impact on people, businesses and the environment is at EUR 9.9 billion. The floods affected 183 out of the country's 212 municipalities, and the extent of the affected area is estimated at 17,203 square kilometres, 85% of the territory.
