The Federation of Slovenian Sports Associations in Italy will field one men's team, and women's and men's Team Koroška/Kärnten will represent Carinthian Slovenians at the tournament.

EUROPEADA 2024 will be organised by four ethnic and language minorities: the Danes living in Germany, the Germans living in Denmark, the Sinti and Roma from Germany, and the Frisian ethnic group in Germany. This will be the first cross-border organisation of the tournament.

"EUROPEADA is much more than just a European football championship for autochthonous national minorities. The event focuses on cultural exchange between minorities.

"The tournament and excitement of the sporting spectacle is combined with the concerns and needs of autochthonous national minorities, so that minorities and their challenges become visible," said the Slovenian Sports Federation and National Council of Carinthian Slovenians, the co-organisers of Team Koroška/Kärnten.
