Police checks at borders with Croatia, Hungary introduced

Ljubljana, 21 October - Slovenia introduced police checks at the borders with Croatia and Hungary at midnight, a measure that will be implemented for at least 10 days. It comes after Italy announced the same measure at the border with Slovenia. Heightened security risks due to organised crime and the escalation of tensions in the Middle East have been cited as the reason.
