Pahor calls for building trust between China and the West

Beijing, 2 November - Borut Pahor, Slovenia's former president, called for efforts to reduce tensions and build trust between the West and China in his address to a meeting of think tanks from China and Central and Eastern Europe in Beijing. He argued enhanced trust would reduce China's need for a closer alliance with Russia and in turn lessen Russia's power in Ukraine.
