Cervical cancer nearly eliminated in Slovenia thanks to screening programme

Ljubljana, 14 November - Slovenia's longest-running population-based cancer screening programme, Zora, has helped prevent and detect cervical cancer in thousands of women since it was launched two decades ago. The country may soon root out the disease altogether, Ljubljana Oncology Institute representatives told the press on Tuesday.
