Govt planning to keep border controls in place for almost seven months

Ljubljana, 16 November - In line with a proposal from the police, the government extended on Thursday checks on Slovenia's borders with Croatia and Hungary by a further 20 days, until 21 December. Notably, it also tasked the Foreign Ministry with notifying EU member states and the European Commission of a planned six-month reintroduction of border controls.
