Sole aquittal in Balkan Warrior case annulled, but retrial impossible

Ljubljana, 24 November - The Ljubljana Higher Court has reportedly annulled the acquittal of Đemajli Mandžuka, the only of 12 defendants in the high-profile Balkan Warrior drug trafficking case who refused a plea bargain. While the prosecution was seeking a thee-year prison sentence, Mandžuka will not have to stand trial, as the case becomes statute barred this Sunday.
