SDS wants consultative referendum on new nuclear plant

Ljubljana, 18 January - The deputy group of the Democrats (SDS) filed on Thursday a proposal to call a consultative referendum on whether to construct a new reactor at the Krško Nuclear Power Plant (NEK) along with a few smaller modular reactors. The largest opposition party, which supports the project, said Slovenia urgently needs a strong and stable source of energy.
