Accidental find yields silver fir thousands of years old

Tolmin, 30 January - A nature restoration project in the Triglav National Park has produced an unexpected find. While restoring man-made ponds that used to serve as watering holes for cattle but were also key habitat for native species of newt and toad, workers came across an unusual log that turned out to be thousands of years old.
