Slovenia, Germany want to make decision-making on EU enlargement more effective

Brussels, 29 January - Slovenia and Germany presented at the EU's General Affairs Council on Monday an initiative for more effective decision-making on EU enlargement. They propose that decisions on opening new chapters in accession talks no longer need consensus, but can be made with qualified majority.
