Bird flu confirmed in eight swans in north-east

Markovci, 6 February - The country's veterinary authority has confirmed highly contagious avian influenza of the subtype H5N1 in eight swans found in the municipality of Markovci in northeastern Slovenia and is urging poultry farmers to strictly implement biosecurity measures.
